A New process is needed to AutoStart programs on Raspberry PI with Trixie OS as of 2/2026. Trixie is the latest OS version of Debian for Raspberry Pis and with it comes a lot of changes. The old methods of have a program run on boot up will not work anymore. This new process is explained in great detail in this video (and accompanying text file). With this procedure, you will be able to have your Raspberry PI with Trixie AutoStart YOUR PYTHON PROGRAM EVEN IF IT HAS A GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE!
